DFRWS EU 2015 Location Information


DFRWS EU 2015 is being held in Dublin, Ireland.

DFRWS EU 2015 activities will take place in two locations. Pre- and post- conference workshops are being held at the main conference hotel Hilton DoubleTree at Burlington Road, while the main track of the conference is being held at the University College Dublin's O'Brien Centre for Science.
DFRWS EU 2015 attendees staying the DoubleTree Burlington Hotel will be provided with a free bus transportation from the hotel to the UCD O'Brien Centre for Science and back (in the mornings and in the evening) during the main track of the conference. See the program for more information.

Completely refurbished in April 2014, the Hilton DoubleTree Hotel on Burlington Road is located minutes from Dublin's city center and St Stephens Green area. This is a landmark hotel, which was built in 1972. With 501 guest rooms, this is one of the larger hotels situated in Dublin's 'embassy belt'. Guests enjoy a great selection of modern rooms sized for comfort, preferential rates for on-site parking, high speed complimentary WiFi and a well-equipped 24 hour fitness center.

Situated on one of the main city roads, DoubleTree Burlington hotel has easy access to public transportation and the shuttle bus from the Dublin Airport that stops directly outside the hotel. University College Dublin O'Brien Centre for Science

The main track of the conference will be held at the Lynch Theatre of O'Brien Centre for Science.

The UCD O'Brien Centre for Science was officially opened in October 2013 and is now home to state-of-the-art teaching and research facilities including clean rooms, atomic force microscopy, and state of the art wet and dry chemistry labs. The Centre now boasts in excess of 38,000 m2 of new and refurbished accommodation at an overall cost of almost €175 m. It is now become home to over 2,000 undergraduate students, more than 500 graduate students, and many more researchers across a range of scientific disciplines.

The Lynch Theatre is the state-of-the-art teaching, learning and conference environment with space for 230 people. It is a prime conference venue that caters for the lecturing needs of the UCD College of Science and features an ultra-modern AV suite. Lunch and coffee breaks and the poster session will be conducted in the Atrium space beside the Lynch Theatre.
